April is here

Good Morning to you all and I hope you are having a fabulous day, the weather for spring or what is suppose to be spring feels more like winter again.
Last weekend we had plus seventeen and then all of a sudden Wednesday it rained all day and Thursday morning freezing rain with snow all afternoon and that is here in Toronto, really fucking sucks , let me tell you.\
Been doing well here and have been smoke free for 3 and a 1/2 months now, that is pretty good for an old guy who smoked for 30 years, yes I said thirty years, started smoking at the age of twelve with a few of my old girlfriends from school, you know who you are.
Matt is doing good, been in a lot of pain lately and not too mobile yet, hoping this back surgery does the trick, now only a week away before he goes into the hospital and has surgery. I think I am more scared than he is. I hate surgery and I hate hospitals, they are just scary to me.
As far as our little house goes, I have now painted all the walls in the house, repainted all the doors and some of the trim, not white of course! Painted the ceilings in a very light blue, again not white. I do not like white and am definitely not a fan of white ceiling as I think it is just too common and way to normal to be in our house.
Next week I am going to stain the floors and get them ready for varathane, life is alright and it will look great. I am so proud of all the work we have done here and even more proud that we have done it ourselves. So many days I think that we are way over our heads and should have bought a condo or something smaller that was already completed and then I think of the fun we have, the yard and garden and the ease of not having to wait for an elevator to take the dogs for their pee.
Also we are so happy with the neighborhood and even more importantly the neighbors are just fucking fabulous and believe you me , once summer hits we are all going to come out of hibrination and get back to the social aspect.
